We’re looking to expand our Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) team within our West End location of Aberdeen City. Our team currently help over 10,000 patients, many of whom are elderly, offering a really interesting and varied patient caseload.

The successful applicant will be an experienced prescribing allied professional who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment (including prescribing) through to evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, both in person and via remote assessment methods. House visiting will be an expected duty. The post will be collaborative with and supported by the general practice team to meet the needs of patients.  There would be an expectation that we both encourage and support professional development within this role and the successful applicant would have a suitable time of induction to the team but also ongoing mentorship from a nominated GP.

The post is expected to be on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday of the week and will be around 15-24 hours.  There may be some scope for negotiation for the right candidate. Salary will be as per the appropriate level of Agenda for Change scale.

We are a really friendly team looking for the right individual to help us provide safe and efficient care for our community.  We highly value the opinions of all our team members and enjoy working together – coffee time banter being a highlight of the day!

Please contact our practice manager for more information about the post and to ask for an application form.
